Our quote -taken from The Economist March 5th 2009- for this session entails a controversial topic: drug legalization or decriminalization. Drug use is prohibited in many countries since it is still considered a crime. According to the website www.dictionary.com a crime is an action or an instance of negligence that is deemed injurious to the public welfare or morals or to the interests of the state and that is legally prohibited. Well, that concept implies many aspects that should be taken into account, right? Now, for many people a question arises: Should drug users be considered as criminals? This and many other questions on the topic will be addressed on our May 11th session.
