Childhood memories

This session was taken and adapted from one of Film English lesson plans. It is designed around a short film by 19-year old filmmaker Bethany titled My Earliest Childhood Memory, and, the theme of childhood memories. Students describe their earliest childhood memory and listen to other students describe theirs, watch a short film and reconstruct the narration, and talk about other childhood memories.

Household chores

This week speaking session is based on a lesson plan designed by Kieran Donaghy. His lesson is designed around a beautiful short film by Greg Gray and the theme of household chores. Students learn and practise vocabulary related to household chores, talk about household chores and watch a short film.

Brands

Today, China is accused of counterfeiting most popular products around the world. Indeed, China has been the workshop of the world for years. And for years, most American and western firms have set up shop in China to take advantage of the enormous and cheap labor force.  In this speaking session, students discuss their perception towards some of the most famous brands around the world, how honest they are and how their advertising campaigns reflect on students’ opinion.
