The Talk/Show Conversation Club welcomes back students and alumni with our first session this coming Wednesday Feb 3rd. We are pretty sure there are many 'Konradistas' who would like to improve their speaking skills and meet more people in 2016. Well, this is the space for you!
Our New Year's Resolutions include TWO (2) sessions a week. One for the day shift and one for the night shift. That's great news, isn't it?
Session 1 will take place on Wednesdays from 12:00 to 1:30 pm in classroom 704
Session 2 is going to be carried out on Wednesdays from 6:15 to 7:45 pm in classroom 401N
No registration needed
In 2016 we also want to keep up with our blog entries, which will be updated weekly and we are more than eager to hear from you, the feedback and comments you may have about our club topics.
Our first Talk/Show topic for sessions 1 and 2 is New Year's Resolutions. Wait a minute! What does that expression mean? (Oh, and it has been written at least twice already) At the beginning of each year people resolve or decide to better themselves in a way. So they create a list of those goals they would like to achieve during that period of time. The most common aims included in resolution lists have to do with having a healthier lifestyle, learning a language, acquiring a new skill, giving up an addiction e.g. smoking or drinking, finding love, saving money, changing job, among others.
Have you done your New year's Resolutions yet? Come and share them with us. If you haven't done them, you can get some ideas from the other incumbents. We will also include some suggestions and strategies to keep up with your plans because as they say New Year’s Resolutions are a bit like babies: They’re fun to make but extremely difficult to maintain. ;)
See you on Wednesday!
